help Mizuno Prospect FAQ
What makes the Mizuno Prospect glove suitable for younger players?
The Prospect series uses Mizuno's PowerClose technology to make closing the glove easier for developing players. An official 11.5-inch Prospect model is sold with separate right-hand and left-hand throwing options.
What materials and lining does a Mizuno Prospect glove use?
Mizuno lists full-grain pigskin leather, a ButterSoft Palm Liner, and MZO moisture-managing lining on Prospect models. The exact web, size, and position can vary across the Prospect range.
Does the Mizuno Prospect use RockFit technology?
The catalog description mentions RockFit, but Mizuno's official Prospect page identifies PowerClose and the ButterSoft Palm Liner instead. Check the actual SKU and product label because Prospect is a series rather than one single glove.
How do I choose the right Mizuno Prospect size and hand?
Choose by the player's throwing hand, position, hand size, and the glove's listed length rather than by the Prospect name alone. Mizuno lists models such as an 11.5-inch glove, but youth infield and outfield needs can call for different sizes.
