My Inventions

"My Inventions: The Autobiography of Nikola Tesla" was originally serialized in six installments in the Electrical Experimenter magazine throughout 1919. The magazine was edited by Hugo Gernsback, a pioneering science fiction publisher who later lent his name to the Hugo Awards. The serialized articles were later compiled into book form.

The autobiography covers Tesla's early life growing up in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, his immigration to the United States, and the development of his most famous inventions including the alternating current motor. Tesla also discusses his famous rivalry with Thomas Edison and shares his personal philosophical views on invention, memory, and creativity.

"My Inventions" is widely available in numerous paperback and digital reprint editions from various publishers. Because the original 1919 serialization in the Electrical Experimenter magazine is in the public domain, it is also frequently available as a free download through online archives such as Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive.

The Electrical Experimenter magazine, edited by Hugo Gernsback, originally published Tesla's autobiography in serialized form throughout 1919.
