Why is an item missing from one Notion database view but visible in another?

That view probably has its own filter, such as showing only tasks where Status equals "In Progress." Sorts, hidden properties, and grouping affect presentation, but a filter is what normally excludes an entry.

Can a Notion board group tasks by status without creating another database?

Yes, create a board view of the existing database and group it by a Status or Select property. Moving a card between columns updates that property's value in the shared database.

What is the difference between a linked database view and a duplicate database?
