Nu2 Lupi is a G-type main-sequence star located approximately 48 light-years away from Earth in the southern constellation of Lupus. The star is orbited by at least three confirmed exoplanets, designated Nu2 Lupi b, c, and d. The planetary system's orbital configuration was further characterized in 2021 using data from the European Space Agency's CHEOPS satellite. One of these planets, Nu2 Lupi d, is notable for orbiting within the star's habitable zone, a region where liquid water could theoretically exist on a planetary surface.
