The Arbor Classic Pack is constructed entirely from 100% recycled polyester fabric, aligning with Patagonia's strong commitment to environmental sustainability and upcycling. The canvas-like material is highly durable and treated with a water-resistant finish to protect your gear from light rain. It successfully combines an everyday backpack design with traditional top-loading outdoor pack aesthetics.

The pack includes a padded internal sleeve that is specifically designed to securely carry a laptop or a hydration reservoir up to 15 inches in size. Because the bag uses a drawcord main compartment beneath a flap closure, the laptop sleeve sits flush against the back panel for ergonomic support. It is not heavily suspended, so you must be gentle when setting the bag down with electronics inside.

The Patagonia Arbor Classic Pack has a total carrying capacity of 28 liters, making it spacious enough for daily commuting, carrying textbooks, or holding gear for a light day hike. Its top-loading design utilizes a large flap closure that buckles down over the drawcord compartment. This provides a cavernous space that easily expands or compresses based on your load.

While the recycled polyester canvas features a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish, the backpack is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It will easily protect your belongings from a light drizzle or a quick rain shower, but the seams are not taped. In a heavy downpour, water will eventually seep through the zippers and the drawcord opening, so a dry bag is recommended for sensitive electronics.
