Paul Davies is a British-born theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author who has written extensively on quantum gravity, the origin of life, astrobiology, and the nature of time. He held academic positions at the University of Cambridge, the University of Adelaide, and Arizona State University, where he directed the Beyond Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science. Davies received the Templeton Prize in 1995 and has authored numerous popular science books aimed at general readers.
