Pelham Puppets was a British toy manufacturer founded by Robert "Bob" Pelham in 1947 in Marlborough, Wiltshire, producing wooden string-controlled marionettes that became a staple of postwar British childhood. The company produced both original character puppets and licensed figures based on popular British comics and television programs. The "Dandy" marionette was based on a character from The Dandy, a long-running British children's comic published by D. C.

Thomson & Co. beginning in 1937. After Bob Pelham's death in 1980, the company continued under new ownership until ceasing production in the early 1990s, and Pelham Puppets products are now collected as vintage toys.
