Peter Ryan was an American-born Canadian racing driver active in the early 1960s. He competed in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, the 1961 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, driving a private Lotus and finishing ninth without scoring points. Ryan had won the 1961 Canadian Grand Prix, a non-championship sports-car race at Mosport, and became the first Canadian to take part in a Formula One Grand Prix before dying in a 1962 Formula Junior practice crash at Reims.
