Ping Glide 3.0 Wedge

The Ping Glide 3.0 wedge, released in 2019, features precision-milled, wheel-cut grooves. These grooves are engineered to optimize spin and control on approach shots, especially out of the rough. The face also utilizes a proprietary emery face finish to add extra texture between the grooves for more friction.

The Glide 3.0 wedge offers six distinct loft-and-grind combinations to accommodate various swing types and course conditions. These options include the Standard Sole (SS), Wide Sole (WS), and Thin Sole (TS) across lofts ranging from 50 to 60 degrees. This allows players to build a custom wedge set tailored to their game.

The Glide 3.0 wedges are forged from 431 stainless steel. Ping chose this specific material because it provides an incredibly soft feel while maintaining the durability required for aggressive wedge play. The heads are hydropearl finished to repel water and reduce friction in wet conditions.

Higher-lofted Glide 3.0 wedges feature a tungsten toe weight. This design element moves the center of gravity toward the middle of the face. It improves forgiveness and ensures that mis-hits toward the toe still fly with proper distance and trajectory.
