Pteroctopus hoylei is a species of octopus in the family Octopodidae and the genus Pteroctopus. It is also known as the Pacific fourhorn octopus; taxonomic records give the Hawaiian Islands as its type locality, while species accounts place it at roughly 200 to 800 meters below the surface. Reported maximum measurements are about 6 centimeters for the mantle and 23 centimeters for total length.
