The Puna teal (Spatula puna) is a dabbling duck of the high Andes in South America. It inhabits high-elevation wetlands and lakes across the Andean region, where it feeds in shallow water and on wetland margins. The species is recognizable by its blue bill marked with a dark stripe, as well as its compact duck shape and adaptation to cold, high-altitude environments.
