Puzzle Bobble 3

Puzzle Bobble 3 is an action puzzle game created by Taito where players shoot colored balls at clusters of other balls. The objective is to form groups of three or more identically colored balls, causing them to pop and clear from the play area. Clearing the screen faster than your opponent is the key to victory.

Following its initial launch in arcades, Puzzle Bobble 3 was ported to several home consoles and computer systems. These platforms include the Sega Saturn, the Sony PlayStation, and Windows PC. The PlayStation version was released in North America under the title Bust-A-Move 3 DX.

Also known as Bust-A-Move 3, this third installment heavily expanded the single-player mode by introducing a branching map system. It also featured an expanded roster of playable characters, each with unique cutscenes and specialized attack patterns in versus mode. This added a layer of strategy previously unseen in the series.

The game features the classic bubble dragons Bub and Bob from the Bubble Bobble franchise as the primary playable characters. Puzzle Bobble 3 also introduced a variety of new characters, each adding different visual flair and competitive balance to the puzzle gameplay. Many of these characters became series staples.
