The Python Bridge, officially known as the Pythonbrug, is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Amsterdam's Eastern Docklands. Completed in 2001 and designed by the firm West 8, the bridge features a distinctive red curved form with an S-shaped path that rises and falls as it crosses the water. The steel structure connects Sporenburg and Borneo Island, two residential peninsulas developed in the late 20th century. Its name derives from the snake-like appearance of its winding deck.
