The brand is famous for utilizing premium, selvedge denim woven by the historic Cone Mills in North Carolina. Cone Mills was one of the last major producers of American-made denim before their White Oak plant closed. Raleigh Denim Workshop often secures highly sought-after, rare runs of this fabric.

While they offer a few modern blends, the core of Raleigh Denim Workshop's collection is 100% raw, rigid cotton denim. This traditional denim lacks elastane, meaning it will not stretch over time the way modern jeans do. Instead, it is designed to break in and mold to the wearer's body over months of use.

To achieve the best fades and preserve the heavy indigo dye, you should avoid washing the jeans for at least the first six months of wear. When it is finally time to wash them, do it by hand in cold water or wash them inside out on a gentle machine cycle. Never put them in the dryer; instead, hang them up to air dry to prevent shrinking.
