Red Spouter

description Red Spouter Overview

Red Spouter is a hydrothermal feature in Yellowstone National Park's Lower Geyser Basin. Although it can sometimes resemble a small geyser or spouter, the National Park Service identifies it as a mudpot, and its present form is associated with changes caused by the 1959 Hebgen Lake earthquake. It is one of the basin's named thermal features rather than a regularly scheduled geyser.
