Red Strand is a beach located near Castlefreke and Clonakilty in County Cork, Ireland. The beach gets its name from the reddish tint of its sand, caused by iron content in the local geology. It offers views of the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Galley Head lighthouse. The beach has basic facilities including a small car park and is popular with families and surfers, though it remains less developed than some of Cork's larger beaches.
