The 4.5-inch and 6-inch versions are common choices for spotted, smallmouth, and largemouth bass. The shorter bait suits pressured fish and smaller forage, while the 6-inch worm offers a larger profile without becoming bulky.

Nose-hooking leaves most of the worm free to quiver and pivot on a drop-shot rig. Threading or Texas-rigging it offers better weed resistance around grass, brush, or other cover.
