description Rosewater Overview

Rosewater is a 2014 American political drama written and directed by Jon Stewart, based on journalist Maziar Bahari's memoir Then They Came for Me. Gael García Bernal plays Bahari, an Iranian-Canadian journalist detained and interrogated in Iran after covering the country's 2009 presidential election and protests. The film focuses on his imprisonment, the pressure placed on journalists, and his efforts to preserve his identity and judgment in captivity.
