Samurai Pirate is the international title of Daitōzoku, a 1963 Japanese action-adventure fantasy film directed by Senkichi Taniguchi and distributed by Toho. Toshirō Mifune plays Sukezaemon, a pirate who is shipwrecked in an unfamiliar land and becomes involved in a succession struggle around a dying king. The film combines Japanese period-film elements with an overseas island adventure and includes Princess Yaya and a conflict with an evil premier.
