The scorpion conch is a marine gastropod in the family Strombidae, found in tropical Indo-Pacific waters. Lambis scorpius has a heavy shell with an expanded outer lip and several long, curved projections, or digits, that suggest the legs and claws of a scorpion. It inhabits shallow sandy areas and coral-reef environments, where it moves across the seafloor with the characteristic hopping motion of strombids.
