Scott Anti-Fog Goggle Insert

The Scott insert works by creating an additional thermal barrier between your warm face and the cold outside air, similar to a double-pane window. By trapping a layer of air, it significantly raises the dew point inside the goggle. This prevents the moisture from your breath and sweat from condensing on the main lens.

The insert is primarily designed to fit securely within the Scott line of snowboard and ski goggles using specific attachment points. While it might be possible to rig the insert into a competitor's goggle, it will likely not sit properly or stay secure. For the best anti-fog performance, you should use it with compatible Scott frames.

The insert itself is an optical frame meant to hold prescription lenses, rather than a standalone piece of plastic. You take the insert to an optometrist, who will fit it with your specific prescription. Once installed inside the goggle, it allows you to see clearly without having to wear your normal eyeglasses under your helmet.

You should never wipe the inside of the insert or the main goggle lens with a rough cloth, as this will destroy the delicate anti-fog chemical coating. Instead, gently blot the lens using the specialized microfiber bag provided by Scott. Allow the goggles to air dry completely after a day on the slopes before packing them away.
