Selles-sur-Cher

description Selles-sur-Cher Overview

Selles-sur-Cher is a French goat's milk cheese produced in the Loire Valley and protected by an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) designation since 1975. The small, flat cylindrical cheese is coated with a layer of charcoal ash, giving its rind a distinctive blue-grey color and helping preserve it during aging. Its interior is soft and creamy with a slightly tangy flavor. It is named after the town of Selles-sur-Cher in the Loir-et-Cher department.
