help Sennheiser Memory Mic FAQ
Does the Sennheiser Memory Mic record to an SD card?
No. The Memory Mic records into its own internal memory and synchronizes the audio with a smartphone app. It is not an SD-card recorder.
How does the Sennheiser Memory Mic keep audio aligned with video?
The microphone records locally while the phone records video, then the app synchronizes the separate audio track with the video. This avoids relying on a continuous wireless audio stream during the take.
Does the Memory Mic work with iPhone and Android?
It was designed to work with smartphones through the Sennheiser Memory Mic app, including compatible iOS and Android devices. App and operating-system support should be checked before purchase because older products can lose support over time.
Is the Sennheiser Memory Mic suitable for interviews?
It can be useful for interviews because the microphone can be clipped to the speaker while the phone stays farther away. It is still important to monitor battery, internal storage, and room noise before a long recording.
