Sequiwaimanu rosieae is an extinct early penguin described from a well-preserved partial skeleton in the mid-Paleocene Waipara Greensand of New Zealand. The specimen, recovered from marine deposits near the Waipara River, includes a skull and more than 40 postcranial bones, allowing the species to be compared with other stem-group penguins such as Waimanu. It is used in research on the early diversification of penguins.
