description Shark FlexStyle Dryer Overview
A rotating body lets the Shark FlexStyle change from a conventional hair dryer into a styling wand. Interchangeable attachments adapt its airflow for different techniques, including brush styling and air-powered curling. A diffuser is available for drying natural curls, although the accessories supplied depend on the package. This makes it a drying and styling system rather than a dryer with only a basic concentrator nozzle.
The auto-wrap curling attachments draw hair around their barrels with airflow, while brush attachments provide tension for smoothing or adding shape as hair dries. Switching tools during a routine allows several finishes from the same motor unit. It suits people who alternate between blowouts and curls and prefer one main appliance with different attachments. Results still depend on hair texture and technique.
help Shark FlexStyle Dryer FAQ
How does the Shark FlexStyle switch from dryer to styler?
The FlexStyle has a rotating main body that changes from a straight hair dryer shape into a styling wand. Attachments can include a concentrator, diffuser, brush heads, and auto-wrap curlers depending on the kit.
Is the Shark FlexStyle trying to compete with the Dyson Airwrap?
Yes, the FlexStyle is often cross-shopped against the Dyson Airwrap because both use airflow attachments for drying, smoothing, and curling. Shark's main appeal is usually a lower price than Dyson's premium Airwrap sets.
Can the Shark FlexStyle curl hair with air instead of a clamp?
Yes, its auto-wrap curlers use airflow to wrap hair around the barrel, similar in concept to the Coanda-style effect popularized by Dyson. The exact attachments vary by bundle, so buyers should check whether their kit includes both left and right curl barrels.
Does the Shark FlexStyle replace a normal blow dryer?
For many users, yes, because it includes a drying mode plus styling attachments. It is especially useful if someone wants one device for rough drying, diffusing curls, smoothing, and loose waves.
