Sidestripe Shrimp

description Sidestripe Shrimp Overview

Sidestripe shrimp, Pandalopsis dispar, is a large pandalid shrimp of the northeastern Pacific. Its pinkish-orange body has lengthwise white stripes, and its long antennae can reach about one and a half times the body length. It inhabits muddy bottoms at roughly 90 to 201 metres in parts of its range from the Bering Sea to the Oregon coast, and it is caught by trawl in Alaska and British Columbia.
