Skibo Castle is a historic estate located near Dornoch in the Highland council area of Scotland, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The property was purchased in 1898 by the industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, who rebuilt and significantly expanded the existing structure into a grand country residence. Carnegie used Skibo as his primary Scottish residence until his death in 1919. The estate later became the home of the Carnegie Club and currently operates as an exclusive private members' club.
