Snatch-It

You capture an existing word by combining all of its letters with one or more new letters to form a different, longer valid word. That makes the game more tactical than simply building unused words from the shared letter pool.

It uses letter tiles like Scrabble, but its defining move is closer to competitive anagram play because players extend and transform words already on the table. The shared pool also creates direct competition for useful letters.

Every player draws from the same available letters, so taking a tile can deny an opponent the letter needed for a planned word. The strongest turns often combine careful vocabulary with fast decisions about when to capture.

It rewards both, because a longer valid word can take control of an opponent’s word while fast play helps you use newly available letters first. The capture rule gives short words strategic value as stepping stones to larger anagrams.
