Snow polo is a form of polo played by riders and horses on a prepared snow surface, usually over packed snow or ice. Its modern tournament history is closely associated with St. Moritz, Switzerland, where the world premiere of a snow-polo tournament took place on the frozen Lake St. Moritz in 1985.
