Swinging on a Star

description Swinging on a Star Overview

Swinging on a Star is a Broadway musical revue that opened at the Music Box Theatre in New York in October 1995 and closed in January 1996. The production was built from songs associated with lyricist Johnny Burke, including the title song written with composer Jimmy Van Heusen for the 1944 film Going My Way. Its score-based format places it in the jukebox-revue tradition rather than presenting a newly composed narrative musical, and it received Tony Award nominations during the 1996 season.
