Tactical Language & Culture Training System

It is educational software from Alelo that trains language, cultural awareness, and communication through interactive scenarios. The system was designed for learners who need practical communication skills in unfamiliar environments.

One well-known version, the Tactical Iraqi Language and Culture Training System, was developed for the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines after its 2007 deployment. Alelo's broader training products have also been used for overseas military and government preparation.

Learners practice simulated conversations with virtual characters and receive opportunities to make decisions in context. The scenarios combine spoken language with social conventions, so the learner is not memorizing vocabulary in isolation.

The original Tactical Language and Culture Training System was computer-based software rather than a mainstream phone app. Alelo's training systems use simulated environments and artificial-intelligence avatars for structured instruction and assessment.
