The Bends

The album was primarily produced by John Leckie, though it was the first Radiohead record to feature significant involvement from engineer Nigel Godrich. Godrich would later go on to produce almost all of the band's subsequent albums, starting with OK Computer.

The album spawned several successful singles, most notably "High and Dry" and "Fake Plastic Trees." "Fake Plastic Trees" became a major music video hit on MTV and is often considered one of their greatest songs.

Radiohead released their second studio album, The Bends, in March 1995. It arrived two years after their debut album, Pablo Honey, which featured the massive hit single "Creep."

While it didn't win major mainstream pop awards initially, it was nominated for the Mercury Prize and later widely recognized by critics as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s. The band's massive commercial breakthrough would actually come with their next record, OK Computer.
