The Fresh Connection

The Fresh Connection is a team-based supply chain business simulation developed by the Dutch company Inchainge, used by universities and corporations for training in supply chain management. Participants take on roles within a virtual fresh-food manufacturer and must collaborate to turn around the struggling company.

The Fresh Connection was developed by Inchainge, a company based in the Netherlands specializing in business simulations for education and corporate training. Inchainge also produces related simulations such as The Cool Connection, focused on financial supply chain management.

Each team of four participants manages one functional role—purchasing, operations, sales, or supply chain—within the virtual company. The simulation challenges teams to align their decisions across these interconnected roles to optimize the company's performance and profitability.

The Fresh Connection is used by both business schools for academic courses and corporations for executive training programs. Inchainge partners with institutions worldwide to deliver the simulation as part of supply chain management curricula and professional development workshops.
