The Last Five Years

description The Last Five Years Overview

The Last Five Years is a 2014 American musical drama film written and directed by Richard LaGravenese and adapted from Jason Robert Brown's stage musical. It follows the relationship between writer Jamie Wellerstein and actress Cathy Hiatt through songs performed largely by the two central characters. Jamie's story moves forward in time while Cathy's moves backward, so their accounts overlap at only one chronological point, giving the film its distinctive structure.
