Thunder Blade

description Thunder Blade Overview

Thunder Blade is a combat flight shooter developed and released by Sega for arcades in 1987. Players pilot a helicopter through vertically scrolling overhead sections and forward-moving, behind-the-aircraft stages, firing guns and missiles at ground and airborne targets. The game used Sega's Super Scaler hardware to enlarge and rotate sprites in order to create an impression of rapid three-dimensional movement. It appeared in upright and deluxe sit-down cabinets, with the deluxe version incorporating a moving seat, and was later adapted for several home systems.
