What workloads can TierPoint DRaaS protect with Zerto?
TierPoint uses the HPE Zerto platform to protect virtualized workloads through continuous replication and orchestrated recovery. Recovery targets can include TierPoint private or multitenant clouds as well as public clouds such as AWS and Azure.
What is the difference between TierPoint DRaaS and ordinary backup?
A backup preserves recoverable data, while DRaaS is designed to restart coordinated applications and virtual machines at a recovery site. Zerto also handles boot order, failover and failback, which a collection of backup files cannot do by itself.
Can TierPoint test a failover without causing a production outage?
Zerto supports isolated recovery testing so replicated workloads can be checked without replacing the live production environment. TierPoint documents protected servers, boot order and test procedures in a client playbook.
