Tommy Smith is a Scottish jazz saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and educator, born in Edinburgh in 1967. Primarily associated with the tenor saxophone, he began recording as a teenager and studied at Berklee College of Music before performing internationally with Gary Burton's group. Smith founded the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra in 1995 and has also held a prominent role in jazz education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
