Tony Hsieh was an American entrepreneur and investor associated with LinkExchange and Zappos. He co-founded LinkExchange, an online advertising network acquired by Microsoft in 1998, and later joined Zappos as an investor and chief executive, helping develop the online shoe retailer around customer service and a deliberately defined workplace culture. After Amazon acquired Zappos in 2009, Hsieh remained its chief executive until 2020 and also supported redevelopment projects in downtown Las Vegas.
