Type:Rider is a 2013 physics-based puzzle-platformer developed by the French studios Ex Nihilo and Cosmografik and published by ARTE, the Franco-German cultural television network. Players control a pair of dots representing a typographic colon, rolling and jumping through stylized levels themed around the history of typography and printing. Each world explores a different era or movement, from the invention of movable type by Gutenberg through the development of fonts such as Garamond, Times New Roman, and Helvetica. The game was released on iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.
