Volkl Mantra M6

With a 96mm waist and Völkl's Titanal Frame, the Mantra M6 excels at carving into hardpack and groomers but can feel stiff in deep powder compared to wider powder skis. It features a three-radius sidecut that provides incredible edge hold on icy snow while still offering enough float for moderate amounts of fresh snow.

The Volkl Mantra M6 is typically sold as a flat ski without bindings, meaning it is compatible with any standard alpine binding that matches your boot's sole length and DIN. Many skiers pair them with Marker Griffon or Salomon Warden bindings due to the robust damping and power transfer they offer.

The Mantra M6 is traditionally tailored toward advanced to expert skiers because it requires strong technique and speed to properly flex the Titanal frame and wood core. An intermediate skier might find the ski overly demanding or fatiguing, and would likely be better suited to a more forgiving frontside ski.

While the M5 and M6 share a very similar Multi-Layer Wood Core, the M6 introduced a slight reduction in the Titanal Frame and added a Carbon tip. This minor tweak drops the swing weight slightly, making the ski a bit easier to initiate into turns without losing its signature stability.
