Volvo XC60

Volvo recommends using premium unleaded fuel (91 octane or higher) for optimal performance and fuel efficiency in the XC60. While you can use regular unleaded occasionally, long-term use might reduce the engine's horsepower output. The mild-hybrid and recharge plug-in hybrid models are specifically tuned for higher-octane fuel.

When properly equipped with a towing package, the Volvo XC60 can tow up to 3,500 pounds. This capacity allows it to easily pull small to midsize teardrop trailers, jet skis, or lightweight boats. The car's standard all-wheel-drive system provides excellent traction for launching boats on wet ramps.

The XC60 features an advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) system rather than a traditional 4WD system designed for extreme off-roading. This system automatically transfers power between the front and rear axles to maximize traction on wet or snowy roads. The Recharge plug-in hybrid models specifically utilize an electric motor on the rear axle to achieve AWD.

The XC60 comes standard with the Volvo City Safety suite, which includes automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. It also features lane keeping aid and run-off road mitigation as baseline safety technologies. Volvo's Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode is also included for highway cruising.
