Warren Christopher (1925–2011) served as the 63rd United States Secretary of State under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1997. A lawyer and career diplomat, he was instrumental in negotiating the 1995 Dayton Peace Accords that ended the Bosnian War, helped facilitate the 1994 Israel–Jordan peace treaty, and conducted extensive diplomatic efforts across the Middle East and Asia. He had previously served as Deputy Secretary of State under President Jimmy Carter and chaired the commission that investigated the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Known for his methodical, understated approach to diplomacy, Christopher spent much of his private career at the law firm O'Melveny & Myers.
