When Magoo Flew

description When Magoo Flew Overview

When Magoo Flew is a 1955 animated short film produced by United Productions of America (UPA) and directed by Pete Burness. It features the nearsighted character Mr. Magoo, who mistakenly boards a bomber aircraft thinking it is a commercial flight. The film won the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons) at the 28th Academy Awards.

It remains a notable example of UPA's distinctive, limited animation style that contrasted with traditional Disney theatrical shorts of the era.
