description Gray Goldenrod Overview
Gray Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis) is a compact perennial wildflower native to dry prairies, old fields, and disturbed sites across eastern and central North America. It grows one to two feet tall with grayish-green pubescent stems and bears arching, one-sided clusters of small yellow flowers from late summer into fall. It is one of the shorter goldenrod species and readily colonizes dry, nutrient-poor soils.
