Prep

description Prep Overview

Prep is Curtis Sittenfeld's 2005 debut novel, narrated by Lee Fiora, a scholarship student from Indiana attending the fictional Ault School in Massachusetts. Across four years at the elite boarding school, Lee closely observes its class divisions, rituals, friendships, and romantic hierarchies while remaining uncertain of her own place within them. The coming-of-age novel focuses on social anxiety, privilege, self-consciousness, and the distance between belonging to an institution and feeling accepted there.
