Cisitalia 202 SMM Nuvolari Spider

The sports racing car was designed by the Italian engineer Giovanni Savonuzzi in 1947. Savonuzzi was known for his advanced aerodynamic theories, which he applied to Cisitalia's post-war vehicles. The car's lightweight bodywork was constructed by the renowned Carrozzeria Vignale.

The vehicle is named after the legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari. Nuvolari drove the car to a remarkable second-place finish overall at the grueling 1947 Mille Miglia race. This incredible achievement cemented the car's place in racing history and earned the model his name.

The Spider was powered by a highly tuned 1.1-liter inline-four engine sourced from Fiat. This engine utilized a dry sump lubrication system and a supercharger to boost its power output. This allowed the lightweight car to be fiercely competitive in its racing class.

The 202 SMM Nuvolari Spider is a fully functional, limited-production sports racing car built in 1947. It was created specifically for competition in prestigious road races. Only a handful of these exclusive vehicles were ever produced by the Italian manufacturer.
