The Broad-billed Hummingbird (Cynanthus latirostris) is a small hummingbird native to Mexico, with a breeding range that extends into parts of the southwestern United States. The male is recognized by its vivid blue throat and broad red bill with a dark tip; both sexes feed mainly on nectar and also take small insects. It is associated with gardens, woodland edges, canyons, and other habitats with flowering plants.
