Dictyna arundinacea is a small cribellate spider in the family Dictynidae, described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758 and the type species of the genus Dictyna. It has a Holarctic range and is widespread in Britain and northern Europe. Adults are about 2-3.5 mm long and build tangled mesh webs on dry or dead vegetation, especially old flower heads, grasses, thistles, and heather.
