Neriene radiata is a species of sheet-weaving spider commonly called the bowl-and-doily spider. Charles Athanase Walckenaer described the species in 1841. It constructs a distinctive web with a domed or bowl-shaped upper section and a flatter sheet below, where the spider can capture small flying prey. The species is associated with the Holarctic region and occurs in habitats that support low vegetation or forest-edge web sites.
