Does the original Hue Lightstrip need a Hue Bridge?
Older original versions use Zigbee and need a Hue Bridge for app control, automations, and integrations. Later Bluetooth-enabled Lightstrip Plus versions can perform basic local control without a Bridge, so the exact generation matters.
Can the original Philips Hue Lightstrip be cut and reconnected?
